Mission of the Rutgers New High Energy Theory Center

The mission of the NHETC is to bring together an exceptional concentration of scientific talent in Theoretical Physics and Physical Mathematics focused on:

  • World leading research and education of students and postdocs
  • Helping to make Rutgers a world-class university of the highest intellectual standard – to be a “jewel in the crown,” a long-term investment of Rutgers resources
  • Attracting the most intellectually ambitious and capable students, postdocs, and faculty to the NHETC and Department of Physics & Astronomy and the Rutgers community
  • Sending out students, postdocs, and faculty to be leaders in the field
